Commercial Drone Operation Rules Go Into Effect August 29, 2016


The FAA has announced the final rules for Small Unmanned Aircraft (sUAS).  This rule will have a major impact on those who are interested in doing aerial photography for hire or any other business venture which seeks to use unmanned aircraft in furtherance of its business.

Drone operators will be required to obtain a “remote pilot airman certificate” with a small UAS rating in order to fly commercially. The new rules go into effect August 29, 2016
